Mechanical character, practical details
The 4R36 movement can wind itself as you wear the watch and also supports manual winding. The display caseback lets you see the movement at work. LumiBrite hands and markers aid readability in low light, and the day-date display is useful for daily wear.
Does it need a battery?
No. The mechanical movement stores energy in a mainspring. Its approximate 41-hour power reserve is measured when fully wound; after it runs down, the watch needs winding and the time and calendar need setting.
