Chronoera operates an online store selling watches and related products.
By placing an order through Chronoera, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.
These Terms primarily apply to consumers purchasing products for personal use.
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes any mandatory rights available to consumers under applicable European Union or national consumer-protection law.
We aim to ensure that product descriptions, specifications, prices, images, availability information, and other information shown on Chronoera are accurate and up to date.
Minor differences in product colour, packaging, appearance, or other details may occur because of:
- Screen settings
- Photography and lighting
- Manufacturer updates
- Packaging changes
- Normal production variations
Such minor differences do not affect your statutory rights if the product does not conform to the contract.
Manufacturer reference numbers, dimensions, movement types, materials, colours, and other specifications are provided based on information reasonably available to us.
All watches sold by Chronoera are represented as genuine products.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, Chronoera does not claim to be an authorised dealer of a particular manufacturer.
Any commercial warranty offered by Chronoera is separate from any manufacturer warranty and does not limit statutory consumer rights.
Prices are displayed in euros (EUR), unless another currency is expressly shown.
Prices displayed to consumers include applicable VAT where required by law.
Delivery costs, where applicable, are shown separately before the customer confirms the order.
The total amount payable will be shown before the order is submitted.
If an obvious pricing or technical error occurs, Chronoera may contact the customer before accepting or fulfilling the order.
If payment has already been collected for an order affected by a clear pricing or technical error and the order cannot be fulfilled, the amount paid will be refunded.
To place an order, the customer must:
1. Select the desired product or products
2. Add them to the shopping cart
3. Provide the required contact and delivery information
4. Select an available delivery method
5. Select an available payment method
6. Review the order and total price
7. Submit the order and complete the required payment process
After the order is submitted, Chronoera will normally send an automated order confirmation by email.
An automated confirmation means that we have received the order. It does not necessarily mean that the order has been finally accepted.
The sales contract is concluded when Chronoera accepts the order, for example by confirming fulfilment or dispatch, or otherwise expressly confirming acceptance.
Chronoera may refuse or cancel an order for legitimate reasons, including where:
- The product is unavailable
- Payment is unsuccessful
- Payment authorisation cannot be obtained
- Required information is incorrect or incomplete
- A clear pricing or technical error has occurred
- The order appears fraudulent or unauthorised
- There are reasonable grounds to suspect misuse or abuse of our services
- Delivery cannot legally or practically be completed to the selected destination
If an order is cancelled after payment has already been collected, the applicable amount will be refunded without undue delay.
Chronoera will not deduct ordinary payment-processing fees from a consumer refund where applicable law requires the customer to receive a full refund.
Chronoera offers payment methods through third-party payment and financial service providers.
Available payment methods may vary depending on:
- Country
- Currency
- Device
- Order value
- Customer eligibility
- Payment-provider availability
Payment methods shown at checkout may include:
- Visa
- Mastercard
- Other supported payment cards
- Shopify Payments
- Apple Pay
- Google Pay
- PayPal
- iDEAL or its successor payment solution where available in the Netherlands
- Montonio bank payments
- Supported local banks and payment institutions
- Inbank instalment or financing options in eligible markets
- Other payment methods displayed at checkout
The exact payment methods available may change from time to time.
Some payments may be processed through Shopify Payments.
Shopify Payments may provide card payments and supported local payment methods.
Availability depends on Shopify, its payment partners, customer location, currency, device, and other eligibility requirements.
Chronoera does not control independent payment-provider security checks or authorisation decisions.
If you choose PayPal, your payment will be processed through PayPal.
Your use of PayPal may also be subject to PayPal's own terms and conditions.
Chronoera does not receive or store your PayPal password.
Where available, customers may use Apple Pay or Google Pay.
Payments using these services may involve Apple, Google, banks, card networks, Shopify, and other payment processors.
Availability depends on the customer's device, country, and payment method.
Chronoera may offer local bank payments through Montonio.
Depending on the customer's country, supported banks and payment institutions may include:
- Swedbank
- SEB
- Luminor
- Other supported banks shown at checkout
The exact banks available may change.
When a bank payment is selected, the customer may be redirected to the selected bank or payment provider to authenticate and complete the transaction.
Chronoera is not responsible for technical interruptions occurring entirely within the independent bank's or payment provider's systems.
This does not affect statutory rights relating to the Chronoera purchase.
Chronoera may offer instalment or financing options provided by Inbank in eligible markets.
Financing is subject to:
- Customer eligibility
- Inbank's credit assessment
- Inbank's applicable terms
- Applicable financial-services laws
Chronoera does not make creditworthiness decisions and cannot guarantee that financing will be approved.
Where Inbank financing is selected, the financing agreement is entered into separately between the customer and the relevant Inbank entity.
Inbank may independently:
- Verify identity
- Assess creditworthiness
- Perform regulatory checks
- Approve or reject the financing application
- Administer the financing agreement
If a purchase financed through Inbank is cancelled or returned, the corresponding financing adjustment will be handled in accordance with applicable law and Inbank's procedures.
Chronoera may delay fulfilment while:
- Payment is pending
- Payment authorisation is being completed
- Additional verification is required
- A financing application is pending
- Fraud or security checks are being carried out
Chronoera does not store full payment card numbers on its own servers.
Chronoera and its payment providers may use fraud-prevention and security measures.
We may delay, refuse, or cancel an order where there are reasonable grounds to suspect:
- Fraud
- Unauthorised payment use
- Identity misuse
- Repeated abusive orders
- Deliberate misuse of refunds or payment systems
- Attempts to cause financial or operational harm
- Other unlawful activity
Where appropriate, we may request additional information reasonably necessary to verify an order.
This section does not limit genuine consumers from exercising statutory cancellation, withdrawal, refund, or other consumer rights.
Products are subject to availability.
We aim to keep inventory information accurate, but a product may occasionally become unavailable after an order is placed.
If we cannot supply an ordered product, we will inform the customer as soon as reasonably possible.
If payment has already been received, the payment will be refunded without undue delay.
Certain products may be offered as preorders.
A preorder allows a customer to purchase a product that is not currently held in Chronoera's immediately available stock.
Preorder products may need to be sourced from an external supplier before they can be dispatched.
Chronoera may consolidate preorder purchases with other customer orders or stock purchases before placing a supplier order.
Because of this, preorder products normally take longer to fulfil than in-stock products.
The estimated preorder delivery or dispatch timeframe will be displayed on the relevant product page or during checkout before the customer places the order.
Unless another timeframe is stated, a typical preorder may take approximately 4–6 weeks.
The stated timeframe is an estimate unless Chronoera expressly guarantees a specific delivery date.
Preorder fulfilment may be affected by:
- Supplier availability
- Consolidated supplier orders
- International transport
- Customs procedures where applicable
- Courier delays
- Manufacturing or distribution delays
- Other logistical circumstances
By placing a preorder, the customer acknowledges that the product is not immediately available for dispatch and that the stated preorder timeframe is longer than the timeframe for an in-stock product.
Unless otherwise stated, payment for a preorder is collected when the preorder is placed.
Chronoera may use the preorder payment to arrange sourcing and fulfilment of the product.
The fact that Chronoera has ordered or sourced the product specifically after receiving a preorder does not remove any mandatory consumer cancellation or withdrawal rights provided by applicable law.
Consumers retain all mandatory cancellation and withdrawal rights provided by applicable law.
Where the European Union statutory right of withdrawal applies, a consumer may notify Chronoera of the decision to withdraw from a preorder before the product is delivered.
If a valid withdrawal is received before dispatch, Chronoera will cancel the preorder and refund the applicable payment in accordance with applicable law.
Receiving a preorder product does not remove the customer's statutory withdrawal rights.
Where applicable, the normal 14-day withdrawal period for goods generally begins when the customer receives the product.
If Chronoera becomes aware of a material delay affecting a preorder, we will inform the customer as soon as reasonably possible.
Where delivery cannot be completed within the agreed delivery period, the customer will have the rights available under applicable consumer law.
If a preorder cannot ultimately be fulfilled, Chronoera will cancel the affected order and issue the appropriate refund without undue delay.
Chronoera delivers to Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, the Netherlands, and other countries where delivery options are available during checkout.
Delivery may be performed by:
- Courier
- Parcel locker
- Postal service
- Other logistics providers
Delivery partners may include DPD, Omniva, and other carriers depending on the destination.
Delivery costs are shown before the order is confirmed.
For in-stock products, estimated delivery is normally approximately 2–7 business days unless another timeframe is stated.
Preorder delivery times are governed by the preorder information shown for the relevant product.
Delivery estimates are not guaranteed delivery dates unless expressly stated otherwise.
Unless another delivery period has been agreed, applicable legal delivery deadlines continue to apply.
The customer must provide accurate and complete delivery information.
Chronoera is not responsible for additional delivery problems or costs caused solely by incorrect or incomplete delivery information supplied by the customer.
If a delivery problem is caused by Chronoera or its chosen carrier, the customer's statutory rights remain unaffected.
For consumer purchases, the risk of loss or damage generally passes to the customer when the customer, or a third party nominated by the customer other than the carrier, physically receives the goods.
The customer does not normally bear the risk merely because Chronoera has handed the parcel to its chosen courier.
Different rules may apply where the customer independently appoints a carrier that Chronoera did not offer.
Customers should inspect the parcel and product after delivery.
If the product is:
- Damaged
- Defective
- Incorrect
- Incomplete
- Different from the product ordered
please contact:
info@chronoera.com
Please provide your order number and, where useful, photographs of the issue.
Failure to notify Chronoera immediately does not remove any statutory rights that cannot legally be waived.
Where the statutory European Union right of withdrawal applies, consumers may withdraw from a distance purchase within 14 calendar days without giving a reason.
For goods, the period generally begins when the customer, or a nominated third party other than the carrier, receives the goods.
The customer may exercise the right of withdrawal by:
- Using the online withdrawal function available on our website
- Sending a clear statement to info@chronoera.com
- Using the model withdrawal form provided in our Return and Refund Policy
Prior approval from Chronoera is not required to exercise a statutory right of withdrawal.
After notifying Chronoera of the decision to withdraw, the customer must return the goods without undue delay and no later than 14 days after giving notice.
Where required by applicable law, Chronoera provides an online function through which consumers can exercise the statutory right of withdrawal electronically.
Chronoera will provide electronic confirmation after receiving an electronic withdrawal request where required by law.
Customers may also exercise the right by email.
During the withdrawal period, a customer may inspect and try the goods only to the extent reasonably necessary to establish their nature, characteristics, and functioning, similar to what would normally be permitted in a physical shop.
Products should be returned with:
- Accessories
- Manuals
- Documentation
- Tags
- Protective materials
- Original packaging
where reasonably possible.
Original packaging is not by itself an absolute condition for exercising a statutory right of withdrawal.
If the product has been handled beyond what was reasonably necessary and its value has been reduced, Chronoera may make an appropriate deduction corresponding to the diminished value.
Examples may include:
- Extended wear
- Scratches
- Damage occurring after delivery
- Alteration
- Missing components
- Missing accessories
- Packaging damage or loss that materially reduces the value of the product
Any deduction will reflect the actual reduction in value.
Customers exercising the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal are responsible for the direct cost of returning the goods.
Chronoera will bear reasonable return costs where required by law, including where goods are:
- Defective
- Incorrect
- Damaged
- Otherwise non-conforming
For valuable products such as watches, we strongly recommend using a tracked and appropriately insured return service.
Unless different instructions are provided, returns should be sent to:
KLPX SIA
Austrumu iela 30, Kadaga
Ādažu pag., Ādažu nov., LV-2103
Latvia
Please contact us before sending a return so that we can provide the correct return instructions.
Prior approval is not required to exercise a statutory right of withdrawal.
If a customer validly exercises the statutory right of withdrawal, Chronoera will reimburse the payments received from the customer, including the cost of the least expensive standard delivery option offered for the order.
The refund will be made without undue delay and no later than 14 days after Chronoera is informed of the customer's decision to withdraw.
For sales of goods, Chronoera may withhold reimbursement until:
- The returned goods are received, or
- The customer provides evidence that the goods have been sent back
whichever occurs first.
If the customer selected a delivery method that was more expensive than Chronoera's least expensive standard delivery option, the additional delivery cost does not have to be refunded.
Refunds will normally be issued using the same payment method used for the original transaction unless another method is expressly agreed.
Chronoera does not deduct ordinary payment-processing fees from the statutory refund where applicable law requires the customer to receive the full amount.
The customer's bank, card issuer, payment provider, or financing provider may require additional processing time after Chronoera issues the refund.
Consumers have statutory rights where goods are defective or do not conform to the sales contract.
Depending on applicable law and the circumstances, remedies may include:
- Repair
- Replacement
- Price reduction
- Termination of the contract and refund
The applicable remedy and sequence of remedies depend on consumer-protection law.
These rights are separate from the 14-day right of withdrawal.
Products sold by Chronoera are subject to applicable statutory conformity and consumer-guarantee rights.
Products must provide the quality, functionality, durability, and characteristics that a consumer may reasonably expect, taking into account matters such as:
- Product type
- Brand
- Price
- Product description
- Statements made about the product
- Expected normal lifespan
Applicable statutory rights may continue beyond the duration of a commercial warranty.
In countries such as the Netherlands, statutory conformity rights may extend beyond a fixed two-year period where a consumer can reasonably expect the product to last longer.
Nothing in these Terms limits mandatory statutory rights.
Certain watches may include a Chronoera commercial warranty.
Where offered, the applicable warranty period and conditions will be stated on:
- The product page
- Warranty documentation
- Other information provided with the order
A Chronoera commercial warranty is additional to statutory consumer rights.
It does not replace, reduce, or limit statutory rights.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, a Chronoera commercial warranty should not be interpreted as a manufacturer's international warranty.
Certain products may include a manufacturer warranty.
A manufacturer warranty applies only where this is expressly provided by the manufacturer or stated by Chronoera.
The manufacturer determines the duration, geographic coverage, conditions, procedures, and exclusions of its own warranty.
Any manufacturer warranty is separate from the consumer's statutory rights against Chronoera as seller.
Chronoera processes personal information in accordance with applicable data-protection law.
Personal information may be processed for purposes including:
- Checkout
- Order processing
- Payments
- Financing
- Delivery
- Customer service
- Returns
- Refunds
- Warranty claims
- Fraud prevention
- Legal compliance
More information is provided in our Privacy Policy.
Information entered during an incomplete checkout may be processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Where permitted by applicable law, Chronoera may contact a customer regarding a specific failed or incomplete checkout for purposes such as:
- Troubleshooting a payment problem
- Providing assistance
- Identifying a technical issue
- Requesting non-promotional feedback about the checkout experience
Promotional abandoned-cart communications will only be sent where permitted by applicable law.
Chronoera may send marketing communications where permitted by applicable law.
Where consent is required, promotional communications will only be sent after the required consent has been obtained.
Customers may unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time using the unsubscribe option in the relevant communication or by contacting:
info@chronoera.com
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation is prohibited by law.
Chronoera is not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable or that result solely from circumstances outside our reasonable control, except where applicable law provides otherwise.
Nothing in this section limits statutory rights relating to:
- Defective goods
- Non-conforming goods
- Fraud
- Intentional misconduct
- Personal injury
- Gross negligence
- Any other liability that cannot legally be excluded
Chronoera may experience delays or disruption because of circumstances outside our reasonable control, including:
- Major courier disruptions
- Natural disasters
- War or civil disturbance
- Government action
- Strikes
- Major infrastructure outages
- Payment-network outages
- Supplier disruptions
- Other exceptional circumstances
We will take reasonable steps to reduce the effect of such events.
This does not remove statutory rights the customer may have because of excessive delay or non-performance.
If you have a complaint, please contact:
info@chronoera.com
Where relevant, include:
- Your order number
- A description of the issue
- Supporting photographs or documents
Chronoera will aim to resolve complaints fairly and within a reasonable period.
Consumers may have access to national or cross-border consumer dispute-resolution mechanisms under applicable law.
Latvian consumers may contact the Consumer Rights Protection Centre of the Republic of Latvia where appropriate.
Consumers involved in cross-border disputes within the European Union may also seek assistance from the European Consumer Centres Network where available.
Chronoera will comply with mandatory alternative dispute-resolution obligations that apply to it.
These Terms and contracts entered into with Chronoera are governed by the laws of the Republic of Latvia, except where mandatory consumer-protection rules provide otherwise.
Where Chronoera directs commercial activities to the country in which a consumer normally resides, the choice of Latvian law does not deprive that consumer of mandatory protections available under applicable law.
For example, customers in the Netherlands retain applicable mandatory Dutch consumer rights where those rules apply.
Any dispute may be brought before a court having jurisdiction under applicable European Union and national law.
Nothing in these Terms requires a consumer to bring a claim exclusively before a Latvian court where applicable law gives the consumer the right to bring proceedings elsewhere.
Chronoera may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time.
The latest version will be published on our website with an updated "Last updated" date.
Changes do not retrospectively change the terms applicable to an order that was already concluded before the revised Terms took effect, unless required by law or expressly agreed with the customer.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
